The word sexism was formed in the context of feminism in the decade of 1960, around the world and be understood by "... unequal gender relations and refers to institutional and interpersonal practices whereby members of the dominant gender group (usually men) accumulate privileges by subordinating other gender groups (typically women) and justify these practices via ideologies of superiority, differences or innate deviations." (Krieger, 2001), in relation to this definition of Krieger sexism in Chile, in my opinion is still quite marked by machismo that is still in the country, but at the same time women fight every day for their rights of equality that don't try them not as a sexual object or as a weaker sex for example through television and the advertising is to mostly because it is a mass medium in which everyone can see daily also makes the man look even more superior to women and as a result of this the Observatory of Advertising and Commercial Practices, since April of 2013 has been systematically monitored advertising with presence of gender stereotypes and/or that were openly discriminadoras against women and men, in order to establish a job with a gender perspective in the field of advertising, to all this and more points of view the feminism or part of the also has one end in which is starting to fall in the foundations of machismo only that toward the opposite sex and that if they want equal fight for this, that strength be the ''gender equality'' and not rooted to one sex more than the other as sexism, but equally to both.
